Hampton Roads Mentoring Program

The Hampton Roads Mentoring Program is the newest project taken on by Good Seed Good Ground www.goodseedgoodground.org .  The mentoring program was started because we felt there was a need for a career type mentorship program.  This program will hopefully be the foundation necessary for youth to take interest in the vast career opportunities available to them through hard work.  Our expectations are:

· To enlighten youth about professionalism and ethics through mentors.

· To build self-esteem, character and self value in youth.

· To establish foundations of professionalism through attitude and dress.

· To help youth focus on immediate as well as long term goals.

· To hold youth accountable for their actions and decisions.

· To give youth incentives with an entrepreneurial task, a cyber café and learning to create and maintain a web page.

· To expose mentees to a diversity of professions.

· To have a positive influence on youth that will in turn help them with their goals.

· To build bonds between youth and mentors.
